Wexford Wildfowl Reserve
Location: Slobs, Wexford, Ireland.
Jointly owned and managed by Birdwatch Ireland and Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. This is a world famous nature reserve for migrating birds. Over 250 bird species have been recorded at the site.
It is made up of a complex of sandbars and mud flats and land reclaimed from the sea. Many species of ducks, geese, swans and other birds use it as a winter haven and migration stop off.
The Reserve is open every day, except Christmas Day, from 9am until 5pm.

With a coastline of over 200km/125 miles, a range of coastal walks are easily found in Wexford. Many inland treks are available too among forrest, parks and mountains. There are a number of well marked cycle routes as well and guided walks among the historic walls of Wexford town itself.
